24.05.10 The Beetroot Tree Gallery Open Gallery Competition

Have we gone completely mad?! Due to the success of the competition over the last 2 year’s, we are again offering the Main Gallery exhibition space for 2 weeks as the prize to the individual, or group of artists who submit a proposal which inspires our interest. Any subject, any media considered - anything goes. (well almost!) Final date for acceptance of proposals is Friday 15 Oct 2010. Exhibition dates 11 Jan – 23 Jan 2011. Artist/s to set up 10 Jan 2011.
Gallery dimensions are as follows:
MAIN GALLERY (limited only by standard doorway entrance)
Majority useable wall height: 6’ or 150cm
End wall hanging up to: 8’ or 240cm (NB must be able to fit through regular doorway)
Floor space: 30’ x 18’
4 x 2 piece hinged screens: 4’ x 6’
… plus a variety of plinths.
Please send an outline of your proposed exhibition idea, including images (of your current or most relevant works) and names of all artists involved to:

The exhibition will need setting up on Mon 10 Jan 2011 and will be taken down at 5pm on Sun 23 Jan 2011. If we don’t contact you before end Oct 2010 please assume you have not been successful on this occasion.
