    Children's Art Classes in Nottingham

Sherwood Young Artists was first set up in 2012 with a handful of children aged 7 - 12, who had a real passion for art.

The sessions are taught by Natasha East, a trained Theatre and Costume Designer and an experienced secondary school art teacher. At Sherwood Young Artists we are incredibly passionate about children growing up with the opportunity to be creative. They may not all turn out to be the fashion designers, architects, photographers, illustrators etc. of the future, however, whatever profession they choose they will have learnt through creative activities how to be independent and creative thinkers, problem solvers, people that can communicate clearly and work well as part of a team. All very important life skills.
As the time has passed we have had a huge amount of fun drawing, painting, printing, felting, making, graffiti, performing puppet shows, yarn bombing and so much more.

The group has also grown significantly as well. We now have three group sessions on a Saturday morning and also two Monday evening groups for 11 - 14 year olds.

Sherwood Young Artists is also and acredited Arts Award Centre and as part of the sessions the children will complete and achieve their 'Explore' and 'Bronze' Arts Awards.

The sessions are held at The Place Activity Centre in Sherwood, Nottingham.
